The British Retail Consortium is one of four Global Food Safety Initiative Audits. Harris Tea has chosen BRC as our certification body to assure our facilities meets the GFSI standard.
2. Organic – Quality Assurance International National Organic Program
Harris Tea is a licensed organic tea manufacturer with organic packing practices in both Atlanta and New Jersey facilities.
3. Customs -Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT)
C-TPAT is a voluntary government-business initiative to build cooperative relationships that strengthen and improve overall international supply chain and U.S. border security. Each of our three Harris Tea manufacturing plants is CT-PAT Audited by 3rd party auditors.
4. Supplier Ethical Data Exchange (SEDEX)
Sedex focuses on four pillars: Labor Standards, Health & Safety, Environment and Business Integrity. Harris Tea is a member of the Sedex.
5. TransFair USA - Fair Trade Organization
Many of our specialty and herbal teas are Fair Trade certified. Fair Trade Certification empowers farmers and farm workers to lift themselves out of poverty by investing in their farms and communities, protecting the environment, and developing the business skills necessary to compete in the global marketplace.
6. Minority Business Leadership
Harris Freeman is recognized by the Minority Business Development Council as a minority owned business.
7. Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Points (HACCP)
All three Harris Tea locations are HACCP compliant.
8. Kosher Certification
All three Harris Tea plants are Kosher K and OU Certified.
